Ladies if Hardbodies Entertainment could personally thank Channing Tatum himself we would. Thanks to the movie Magic Mike the perception of the male dancing industry was finally raised. Yes a male stripper COULD DANCE, and LOOK GOOD and PUT ON A GOOD SHOW. So if you saw the movie you might also ask yourself, what about the partying, drugs and sex?
Well in the years of dancing that I’ve done I will admittingly say that those things take place. The show is young men entertaining young women. Wouldn’t most people at that stage in their lives behave like that at some level? From what I’ve noticed about the response from the movie is that most women don’t even bring up the bad parts about the movie. They only seem to remember the parts of dancing and just how good Channing Tatum looked on stage. Which brings me to my next point… We must thank Channing Tatum again!!
So how much do these things take place at shows? Let me state that all male dancers are not the same. I have some dancers that work for us that just want to put on a show and then just socialize after. Other dancers only care about the women that show up. So what takes place seems to be very individual.
BUT the expectations for what a male revue show requires has now changed. The girls coming to the shows are now expecting us to dance. They want us to wear nice costumes. The men must be in shape. So the guys that do that are becoming more successful in the industry.
